Hi All@Noodlesoft,

I tried to find a way to produce a "version" of a file while copy/move to a different location.

I have a rule, trigger action is launch when a tag is changed to an new value.
This rule works fine ;-)

Action I expect :
- Move folders (and all the content) to a new location (I can arrange this easily),
- Copy folder structure from monitor folder,
- And I would like Hazel to move files AND adding a suffix Version Number (_V02, _V03, ... _Vn) if a file is present with the same name. This setup is to protect files.

Is Hazel able to do a such action in standard, or do I need some extra scripts ?

Thanks a lot for reply.

If you set up Hazel to go into subfolders and have a separate rule to copy the files (not the folders), then you can tell Hazel to renumber files if they already exist at the destination. You can really do it with the specific format you have with the "V" but it will roughly approximate what you want.
