v3.3.8 on OS X 10.9.5 started trashing new folders

I've been running Hazel v3.3.8 on OS X 10.9.5 for a number of years just fine, doing a task that sorts new incoming files into dated folders, then trashes those folders once they're a year old.

It has worked fine all those years, but inexplicably since 10/23 of this year, Hazel started thinking that the new folder that it just created itself was more than a year old. Nothing has changed in the Rules and nothing has changed on the box.

The Rules checks the Date Modified on the folder and if it's more than a year old, then it moves it to the Trash. I looked at the newer folders that it's trashing, and they all have Date Modified that are pretty much the same time as their creation, and well within a year of course.

The log shows that Hazel sees the file and dutifully creates the subbolder and moves it into it...then immediately trashes the folder it just created.

I'm thinking that this is a bug in this old version? If that's the case, is there any hope for a fix?

I usually keep my boxes up-to-date, but this particular box needs to stay on 10.9.5 for about another year or so.

I should mention that the volume that Hazel is looking at is an SMB volume mounted from a Windows Server 2012 R2 box. maybe possible that it's getting some weird date from the Windows box, but the dates look fine in OS X, and nothing has changed on either box recently, so not sure why this is suddenly happening.

I suggest modifying the rule to add a color label instead of moving it to the trash. Whenever you see a folder that has the color label that shouldn't, use Hazel's preview function to check the values of everything. Report back with what you find there.

This morning I moved the same Rules (exported and imported) to another box running the latest Hazel and it's working well again, so I think it's something with v3.3.8 on the old 10.9.5 box.

I'll be happy to do the testing and report back to help the cause if you want to get to the bottom of the issue, but if you're just as well with letting v3.3.8 ride off into the sunset with whatever bugs it has, I'll just use the new version.

I'm a little bit curious and want to at least get some handle on the cause. If you could report back with the preview results, I'd appreciate it.
