I have looked and looked for the answer but can't find it. Is it possible to transfer or copy the "rules" I've created for Hazel on my laptop to my desktop as this is the computer my husband and I both share? I really, really don't want to write the rules over again. Thanks for helping.

PS: Also, I can't get the Hazel Icon to show in my menu bar. "Show Hazel status in menu bar" is checked in the system preference folder. Help.

Check if you have multiple copies of Hazel installed. You want to check the following places:

- From the top level of your boot drive, /Library/PreferencePanes
- From your home folder, Library/PreferencePanes

There should only be one copy of Hazel.prefPane between the two of them. If you see more than one, I suggest doing the following:

- Move both to the trash (do not Uninstall)
- Install again.
