Throw away duplicate Sat Apr 22, 2017 11:25 am • by erlebach
Hi,

I created a rule on a folder, which starts off empty (for debugging). Debugging is turned on. Throw away duplicates is on.

I download a the same file twice from Safari. The debugger states that I the duplicate will get deleted within a few minutes. 30 minutes later, the duplicate is not deleted. What to do?

Can the delay be controlled? What is the delay set to?

Below is a partial output from the debugger:
Note: the files names only differ by a numeral, the number of bytes is identical, but the files differ (probably because of the creation date metadata.

2017-04-22 11:22:45.867 hazelworker[39402] DEBUG: unnamed document.pdf: Did not match any rules.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Gordon

The grace period is a few minutes so it should be removed after that. Can you email/post a bigger excerpt from the logs to include 5 minutes after these messages?
