Hi... I'm new in hazel and I wanna do something simple.

When I connect the SD of my digital camera, Hazel copy the RAW files to a folder and the JPG to another but in these folders should create subfolders by month taking the capture date as the reference.

1. Detect the connected SD
2. Create a subfolder (YYYY/MM) in the JPG folder taking the captured date as a reference and copy the JPG files into this subfolder.
3. Create a subfolder (YYYY/MM) in the RAW folder taking the captured date as a reference and copy the RAW files into this subfolder.

The result should be that the pictures captured in March 2017 be copied to a "F:\Pics\JPG\2017-03" folder and the RAW to a "F:\Pics\RAW\2017-03".

Besides, I'd like that the files older than X days been erased in the SD but not in the folders where they were copied.

Sorry for my English, I'm from Venezuela and I'd like to enhance the use of Hazel

First off, note that the capture date is not normally available as Apple's Spotlight importer does not index that, for some reason. Search the forums here as people have written scripts to rectify that.

Once you have that, you can use "Sort into subfolder" with that date. You can format the date to use only the year and month as you described.

I do this by adding the file created date to the file name (also avoids an issue with non-unique filenames).

My workflow uses two simple rules in Hazel: the first adds the date, then I load the files into Photos (manually, because the Hazel action is very slow), then another rule archives the original.

First rule is:

Second rule is:

I use Year/Month/Date as structure, but obviously there are loads of options to suit your preference.

Note that a file can only match one rule, by default. If you want the file to be renamed and sorted, try combining those into a single rule.
