Overwriting previously copied folders

Finally getting around to trying Hazel for the first time but I'm having a problem fine tuning a set of rules.
I have a folder structure such as parent/example1/V6.

There are many other folders in parent/example but I would only like to copy V6. While analyzing, data files (CSV) are added to V6.

There are also other parent/example2/V6, parent/example3/V6...

Currently I can get and copy all V6 folders into another directory but any updates to any V6 folder are not copied over despite me selecting "replace file" in the copy options. The rule is triggering with a file event but the "overwrite" does not occur.

I have also tried sync but I get similar results.

Any thoughts?

Can you post your rules? It depends a lot on the details there.

Rule 1
If All Conditions are Met
-Kind is Folder
-Subfolder Depth is less than 1

Do the Following
-Run Rules on Folder Contents
-Continue Matching Rules

Rule 2
If all Conditions are met
-Name starts with "V"
-Kind is Folder

Do the Following
-Copy to Folder "_____"
-Options
If the file exists ->replace the existing file
Copy Folder Structure "Parent Folder Only"

I couldn't figure out how to easily post images but if that would be more helpful I can figure something out....

You want the V6 folder to be re-copied if anything under it changes? If so, you'll need to add a condition to specify that. See this thread on using the sync action which does something similar: http://www.noodlesoft.com/forums/viewto ... 1593#p6500

Thanks for the tip - the sync option works well except for one issue a Sync 23 error.
The folders that I am syncing from are on an exFAT drive but the folder that I am syncing to is HFS.

I don't necessarily need a "sync", copy(with overwrite) would be fine, but I tried replacing the sync command with copy (even with overwrite) but it was unsuccessful.

I can post the debug if needed.

Yes, post the logs with the copy action. As for the error 23, if you turn on debug mode (see sticky post on how to do that), it will show you more details as to what's causing that.

This is a very late update but I am running into a little problem with error 23, in that I think that it is causing my files to re-sync every time from a specific folder (V55 2016-11-23 MFA-Platelet Rolling).

This same error comes up with each Run of these rules.

It seems at least from my cursory read that it is the invisible files that are causing problems? The target folder is local, the source folder is on a external Exfat Drive.

It seems to be an issue with the source not having extended attributes, which the sync action is checking. For now, it might be better to use the Copy action to copy the folder over. A bit less efficient but should have the same end result.
