Error executing Applescript Sat Dec 17, 2016 6:30 pm • by d32bus
Hi

I have a workflow application on my iPhone which creates a file in a Dropbox folder that my iMac can access.

I have created a rule within this folder on Dropbox to run an AppleScript when that file enters the folder. Basically a rudimentary way of restarting iTunes from elsewhere in house when my Apple TV stops working.

The file is created in the folder and the workflow recognises it, however it fails to run the AppleScript. It says, "Error executing AppleScript on file Restart iTunes.txt". I have also tried it with running a shell script but with the same outcome.

I would add images of the workflow etc but not sure how on this forum.

Not sure if it's something simple. I noticed that Hazel doesn't appear in my settings/accessibility so I wondered if it was a permissions issue but because Hazel doesn't have an "App" as such I wasn't sure how to add it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I've already responded via email. In the future, email in to support or post here, but not both as I'll end up having to respond in both places.
