Rule with email did not attach file

I have a couple of rules set that take a downloaded PDF and emails a copy to my wife. Yesterday, one of them sent the email, but did not have the file attached.

I assume it might be a timing issue. Is there something I can do to resolve that?

The rule first renames the download, then runs a Bash script to run the MailMate command-line send option, using the $1 token for the attachment.

The rule then copies the PDF into Evernote and deletes the download.

I'm not familiar with MailMate but I suggest turning on any diagnostics you can in that program. The file should exist before Hazel calls the script.
