Hi, looking for some troubleshooting advice in my workflow. ( If thats what I call one of the little HAZEL instructions sets ) The scenario is to capture software files from the Download Folder as they arrive, then move them to a local folder so I can install or test/examine them and then next, after a month have Hazel move them out to Local NAS drive for achieving and later retrieval.
It was working fine until the last up-date, and now appears to no longer intuatively recognise "date added" to hold onto it for the month before moving it off to the NAS. As soon as it arrives it changes its colour tag and moves it off to the NAS.
IT goes like this:
Downloads> Software > IF any files is application, DMG image etc THEN colour code red AND moved to folder named "Software".
Next step
Software> IF any file date is not this month THEN change colour code blue AND move to folder (on small NAS) named "Software"
Thats it basically. Simple, but it makes a real difference in stopping things from getting cluttered up in the software folder and as I am pretty comfortable with most of the software i have and now use, I no longer have this compulsive need to down load every new or variations of software, so this IFTHENAND set up is a nice & neat way to automate the software workflow.
* I have tried to including "date added" to the file name after it sets it to red But that has not been picked up by the second stage so as to hold on to it for the month.
If anyone has some advice on how to set the conditions so HAZEL will recognise the date added and hold on to the file for a month then please, id be very grateful for your time and advice.
Cheers.
