I would like to sync 2 folders that are on different Macs in the same local network. The scheme is as follows:

Source folder contains several (sub)(sub)folders now a file is added somewhere then I would like to have automated that the same file is also placed at the same location in the Target folder. Deletions do not need to be attended to.

So it is more or less a sync/dropbox operation but on a small scale.

Would this be possible with hazel?

Is it a one way sync (i.e. if you add something at the destination, it doesn't affect the source)? If so, then check out this thread: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1593#p6500

If you want a two-way sync, then I'd suggest software specially made for that.

It's a 1-way sync. Will have a look there.

Thanks.
