Hello

I am fairly new to Hazel, and I have a problem that I can´t solve. Hope someone can add to my limited knowledge.

We are a broadcaster in Norway, and are trying to setup a Camera Ingest system, thats highly automated
Here is what we want to do ...

Insert a Memory card from a camera into a card reader.
Press and hold the ALT key ...and Drag&Drop the memory card into a folder monitored by Hazel.
Extract the media files on the memory card copy, and copy them to a specific folder for editorial access.
Copy the memory card clone thats is the monitored folder to a specific folder for backup
Delete the memory card clone thats in the motored folder after a given amount of time to reclaim disc space.

We have managed to use Hazel to go into subfolders, and copy out only the media files.
He have not been able to Copy the card, and delete the card ..

We have one rule that specify folders, and Runs all rules on folder content
We have rules that specifies a specific file type, and copies the files to a specific folder
When we try to set up a rule for copy .. and a rule for delete ... nothing happens

Anyone that can help us here ?

Kind Regards

If you have other rules that match the folder besides the rule to go into subfolders, you should place them before the subfolder rule. Many times, the subfolder rule is set up to match all folders, which means any rules afterwards that match folders in more specific cases, will not get a chance to match.

Also, you may want to add a "Subfolder level is 0" to make sure that this only happens for the top level folder and not its subfolders.
