In my Google Drive I have a Google Photos for about 20 GB of photos. I have Hazel watching Google Photos so that whenever a new photo is added to any subfolder therein, it is renamed properly. This has been working very well.

Because of some problem with my Google account I had to delete these 20 GB of photos (all properly named) in Google Photos from Google Drive and now need to put them back. When I do, however, I down want to trigger Hazel so that the renaming process starts over. Right now the renaming rule checks to see if the file is an image and activates an ExifTool script accordingly. If I add another condition such as one based on Date Added, for example, will that stop the renaming process if I copy all of these back in?

Any pointers would be appreciated since the renaming will take a long time, and I'd like to avoid it if possible.

Thanks!

You might be able use date added against a fixed date (everything added before Mar 2, 2016) though I would also wait a day before adding anything new just to be safe.

Otherwise, you can also add a condition with a pattern to match the renamed files so it won't try and rename the file again.
