Im creating a rule that looks for a date pattern on a particular re-occurring document.
My first document has the date 4/12/2015. The pattern set up is dd/mm/yyyy.
After many attempts, the rule would not work until i edited the dd variable.
When editing, I was presented with the same number (31) twice. The bottom number had been selected by default however after selecting the first 31 and saving the rule, everything worked as it should.

Upon trying to apply the same rule to a second document with the date 16/9/2015, the rule again failed. It was only when i changed the DD variable options to its default (opposing variable), did it work.
Mr Noodle, can you explain what is happening here? Is it because there is no second digit in the DD pattern that affected the first rule?
I hope this makes sense.
Thanks for your help.
