Hazel stuck in a loop

Hello,

I recently purchased Hazel and immediately ran into a problem: according to the log, Hazel appears to be properly recognising the rules I've set up, but instead of executing them winds up going through this first phase (of matching files in the download folder to my – very simple – rules) indefinitely.

I'm pretty sure my rules are logical and coherent; as I mentioned, they're all very simple, along the lines of: "If all of the following rules are met" – "Extension is mkv" – "Move to folder: Movies"

I'm new to Hazel, so perhaps there's something obviously wrong with my setup that I'm unaware of – in which case I beg your patience and forgiveness.

I'm pasting a stretch of the log below (starting with a capitalised file called "IN THE BEGINNING.MOV" which you will easily spot reoccurring further down the line), hoping that someone will be able to make sense of this. I should add that none of the files matched to the rules here ever make it to the assigned folder...

I'm running Hazel on an iMac, the OS is Yosemite.

...and so forth. When Hazel is on, the loop never stops.

Remove the rules your got from Noodlesoft. For whatever reason they didn't seem to work for me, I made my own and this issue stopped.

Thank you, BusterBaxtor. I heeded your advice and voilà: the issue seems to be resolved!

If a file matches a rule, the actions get executed once. If the file is still in the folder and keeps matching the same rule, you will see messages that it matched but it won't re-execute the actions. I don't know what you did on your end but is it possible you moved the files back in after Hazel moved them?
