External disks should be mounted on /Volumes. Normally, this isn't visible so in the open dialog, you have to start typing. A text field will appear where you can type out that full path. Basically, you want to monitor /Volumes for new drives. You'll have to figure out how to filter out normal disks from your iPhone and cards. This is extremely important as if you have Hazel scanning your whole hard drive, it can be very resource intensive and could totally throw all your files all over the place, depending on how you do your rules.
Once you have that, you'll need Hazel to descend into those folders. See the sticky not about going into subfolders at the top of this forum. From there, it really depends on the specifics of how the files are laid out. I'd recommend trying it on a test folder first to make sure you have that part working before hooking it up to /Volumes.
