How can I setup Hazel to archive the folder itself?

Whenever I select a folder it archives and moves the folder contents...rather than the folder itself. I jut got Hazel a few days ago and can't quite figure out how to backup JUST the folder itself...rather than have it move and archive some 40+ folders INSIDE the folder.

How can I achieve this?

Incase I didn't explain it well enough...here's another explanation. I have Main Folder which contains 40 files. I set it to copy the folder, archive it, and move it. This is for a backup system. However, Instead of archiving the ONE folder and moving it...it archives the 40 files and moves them.

How can I make it archive the folder itself...rather than it's content.

What folder do you have Hazel monitoring? If it's the folder you want to operate on, then that won't work. Hazel monitors the contents of the folder so you need to monitor one level up to do what you want. Give that a shot and report back.

That's what I can't figure out. How can I tell Hazel to copy, move, and archive one of the folders inside the folder I have the rule set to? I want it to execute this rule for ONE folder...not all of them. How can I specify which folder to execute the command on?

I have two folders. The main one is the "server" folder, and it contains a lot of folders and files. However, The ONLY one I want the rule to effect is the "plugins" folder which is inside the "server" folder. So, how do I have it ONLY execute the rule on the "plugins" folder?

I hope that makes sense.

Create a rule to match that folder. For instance "Name is plugins". Make sure you monitor the "server" folder.
