How to copy the last version of a daily file

I need Hazel to copy a file and move it to another folder. The file is a markdown document and one is created every day. It is updated and added to throughout the day.

In order to prevent Hazel copying it over and over I created a rule: Date Added is after Date Last Matched. However this is returning only the very first version of the file and none to the subsequent updates are included. In fact, the version I need is the very last one of the day.

I can't get my head around the date/matching criteria so any help/ideas would be much appreciated.

You probably want to use "Date last modified" instead of "Date added". "Date added" only really happens once and doesn't change if you change the file.

Makes sense. I'll give it a go. Thanks.

Sadly that hasn't worked.

To re-cap the rule as it stands is: Date Last Modified is after Date Last Matched.

What I'm trying to do is to copy the file at the end of the day but not have Hazel re-copy every file every day.

Thanks

If you want it at the end of the day, then use the "Current time" attribute to schedule the rule to match then.
