Does Hazel remember already processed files ?

Hello,

does hazel remember already processed files so that the file is not processed again ?

I have a folder with the condition "any file" and I am adding a half transparency watermark to my pdfs. But if the rule is applied multiple times the watermark gets too intensive...

Unfortunately I did not know how hazel internally works.
When will hazel wake up ? Only if a file or folder is changed (via os-hook) ? Or does it check all folders every minute (active waiting) ?

Thank You!

Greetings, Andy.

It should but you shouldn't rely on it. Also, for the most part, it only runs when necessary.

Try adding a condition like "Date added is after date last matched" so that it only matches when the file is first added.
