Start and Stop Hazel from AppleScript or ShellScript

Talk, speculate, discuss, pontificate. As long as it pertains to Hazel.

I want Hazel to run only once in a day to save my battery. So, i was hopping to program Keyboard Maestro to start and stop it periodically.

Is there a way to start and stop Hazel from an AppleScript or ShellScript?

Maybe if you use AppleScript/Automator to record user actions. That said, Hazel shouldn't take much energy unless you set it up that way. For instance, you can use the "Current time" attribute to schedule when rules match. Unless you see a real observable difference, I wouldn't worry too much about battery unless you are really desperate to eek out a few more minutes.
