Rename file semi-manually

Talk, speculate, discuss, pontificate. As long as it pertains to Hazel.

I'm wondering if Hazel (or Hazel + something) can open the info panel of a file (or just highlight its name) when it's downloaded to prompt me to enter a new file name manually. These files are auto-downloaded and often there's no content in the file to grab to create a filename. So I want to rename the file quickly, while its source, etc. is fresh in my mind.

I can set up a Text Expander fill-in that can prompt me for part of the filename and add some other useful info, if I can just get Hazel (or whatever) to highlight the team so it's ready for input.

Thanks.

You'll have to write an AppleScript to bring up the UI for that. Search the forums as I feel like someone has done something along these lines.

Thank you! I did search the forums before I posted, but will try again with the new info.
