AppleScript URL Protocol lets you retrieve script examples embedded in web pages by simply clicking a link. The embedded AppleScript code will be automatically transferred to the Script Editor application and either placed in a new script window, inserted into the front window at the current insertion point, or appended to the end of the script in the front window.

The url begins with "applescript://" but when I use that on the forum, it doesn't convert to a link, it stays as text.

If the forum can support the protocol, especially the recipes forum, it would allow users to get scripts with one click.

So, can we get it? Huh, huh? Can we get it?

Well, let's see how well it works now:

Test

Ok, not very well. I'd have to look at the phpBB code (which is not something I look forward to).

Besides being able to bring up Script Editor, what's the advantage of this over just having a downloadable file?

I don't have to find a way to host a downloadable file?

This isn't a priority. I just think it'd be neat.
