Does integrating Hazel with iCloud Drive slow down your comp

Hi everyone,
I am using Hazel to automatically organize files in my iCloud Drive folder (Documents, Desktop). However, recently, I feel like my computer is a bit slow when Hazel starts processing a large number of files.
Does anyone else have similar problems? Does using Hazel to automate iCloud Drive affect system performance, especially on MacBooks with M1 or M2 chips?

If Hazel is busy doing stuff then you need to look at your rules. Can you describe your rules in more detail along with the folders/files you have Hazel processing?
