Save power

I'm traveling in my camper van with a MacBook Pro and I am looking at how to reduce power demands.

I am using Hyperjuice batteries, which means that the MBP thinks I am plugged in to the power when I am using the Hyperjuice batteries. Though Hazel doesn't know whether I am operating on power or battery, I think.

I am looking for advice on what kinds of Hazel actions should I avoid or suspend in order to conserve power?

Thanks,

There are various factors to keep in mind but some general tips:

- Do not keep files in the monitored folder. Move them out so that there are fewer files for Hazel to scan.
- Matching against a file's contents is expensive. If you need to do it, precede that conditions with others that can filter the file before it gets to any contents matching conditions.
- If you only want a rule to match on a schedule, you can use the Current time attribute.
