Is there a way to have Hazel Monitor the SuperDrive (USB) so when a disc is insertsted it will import any images?

You could have Hazel monitor the /Volumes folder and then descend into any newly mounted volumes. I'd be very careful with this since every filesystem (and therefore, every single file) is potentially under /Volumes. You don't want Hazel to descend every folder indiscriminately as it will take forever. You need to severely limit which folders it descends into.

In any open dialog, if you type in the path, a little field will pop up. Just type in the slash (/) and it will appear.

An important thing to note: be very careful about your rules. Every file in your system is accessible underneath /Volumes. That means that (a) if you decide to have Hazel go into subfolders, you will bring your machine to a crawl and (b) you could potentially process system files and such that you probably didn't mean to. Make sure to limit any rule to go into subfolders to a specific folder and also limit how deep it goes if possible.

To show the /Volumes folder, you can also just either type in terminal
Code: Select all
sudo chflags nohidden /Volumes
followed by your password (you will not see typed characters).
You can also go in finder in the go menu, (shift + cmd + g), type in /Volumes. Then in hazel, open the dialog to choose a folder and drag the folder from /Volumes into the window in hazel.
