convert Microsoft Word files to Google Docs format

Talk, speculate, discuss, pontificate. As long as it pertains to Hazel.

Hello, I've been attempting to find a solution to convert Microsoft Word files (.doc, .docx, etc.) to Google Docs format (.gdoc). While I'm not proficient in scripting or Hazel, I suspect that there might be a script or method within Hazel that could achieve this task. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to figure it out since it requires opening the file in a browser, logging in to Google Drive or a Google account, and then manually choosing to open it with Google Docs. If there is a simpler technique or approach to accomplish this conversion, I would greatly appreciate any advice or guidance you can provide.

I'm unfamiliar with gdoc and this problem seems like something that isn't really Hazel-specific. I suggest checking out other forums more geared towards Google Docs.

I got around this by hiring a developer who made me a google app script running hourly which converts all Microsoft Office files into google docs format , and trashes/archives the original.

You can grab any from fiverr or I can share contact of the one I used
