Updating Rules' Script File Location

Updating Rules' Script File Location Mon Apr 16, 2007 4:03 am • by protoplasm
A minor request, not sure how many people it'd benefit... I have several rules that all call the same script file and I recently re-organised my folders so the script's location changed. This meant going through all the Hazel rules to make them point to the new location.

It'd be great if, after I updated the first rule, Hazel could do a quick check see that other rules referred to the same file and automatically update those other rules for me [after a prompt].

Maybe I could store an alias to the file? That way it would update itself if you move or rename it.

BTW, did this happen with 2.0a4? I was wondering if the new feature that validates rules kicked in.

If storing an alias would accomplish that it sounds good to me!

I *think* I was still using the 1.* stable version at the time I re-organised, but I definitely wasn't using 2.0a4.
