Feature request: Hide App Icon, Hide Menubar Icon, etc.

It would be a good addition to give the user the option to run Hazel as a menubar only app, as a dock only app or to display both (app icon in the dock and menubar).

This has been answered elsewhere, but the Hazel app does not need to be kept running. You can quit it at any time. The rules are handled by a background helper.
