Automated External Hard Drive Backup

Talk, speculate, discuss, pontificate. As long as it pertains to Hazel.

Hi,
I'm trying to automatize my backups from a 'A' Hard Drive (DATA) to a 'B' Hard Drive (Backup EXT) using Hazel and the 'rsync' command. I want it to be triggered when both are mounted on 'Volumes'.

After some research, I came up with that, but before to execute it, I would like to make sure this is correct.
Those Data are very valuable, since it's my 7+ Years of photo and video works...

Thank you ;)

It seems to be not working in this way... When I put only "name=Backup DDEXT" without the other (DATA), it runs off course, but in background... I realized it only when I tried to eject one disk...

Is there a way to trigger it only when both disks are connected and, to have a terminal window if the commande is running ?

Thank you

The "Sync" action uses rsync behind the scenes so you may want to consider using that. Check the manual as there's a chapter there on it.

Also, what version of Hazel/macOS are you running?
