Time Capsule rule

Talk, speculate, discuss, pontificate. As long as it pertains to Hazel.

Hi
I've a problem with my Time Capsule, It has a 2TB hard drive that I use as multimedia storage on my LAN.
Sometimes when I put mac in stop, Time Capsule unmounts and I can't find it anymore in my finder.

Is there any rule I can create with Hazel to monitor the TC's main folder and tell Hazel to mount it every time TC will disappear from the finder?

I've a script to mount my TC but I don't know which rule I have to create to monitor when TC disappear!

Thanks

I think this might be better solved by some other software. Look into automounting.

The problem here is that Hazel can't match something that isn't there. You could try monitoring your root folder and matching on Volumes and check whether it has the Time Capsule under it or not. Monitoring your root folder can be risky but if you are careful about how you construct your rule and don't have it going into every subfolder (which is pretty much everything on your system if you are checking under Volumes) then it might be doable.

I recommend using Keyboard Meastro. Easy programming and also a very good forum for help. Keyboard Maestro and Hazel are the programs that, for me, cannot be missed.
