How do you use Hazel beyond the usual file cleanup?

Talk, speculate, discuss, pontificate. As long as it pertains to Hazel.

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using Hazel for a while now to automate basic tasks like organizing downloads, cleaning up my desktop, and sorting receipts — and it works great.

But I’m curious: how are others using Hazel in more creative or less conventional ways? For example: do you use it to trigger scripts for non-file-related tasks? Any cool workflows involving cloud storage, automation with other apps (like Keyboard Maestro or Alfred)? Or have you used it for team or shared-folder workflows?

Would love to hear how you’re integrating Hazel into your daily Mac use beyond just tidying up folders. Maybe I can steal some inspiration

I use Hazel to automate file backups to iCloud and also trigger an AppleScript to send notifications when a folder receives new files. It also integrates with Keyboard Maestro to conditionally launch apps.
