Hazel Stops Monitoring SMB Folders After Using CleanMyMac

Talk, speculate, discuss, pontificate. As long as it pertains to Hazel.

Hi there,

I'm using Hazel on a Mac that monitors several SMB network shares (Windows shares). After running successfully for days or even weeks, I’ve noticed that Hazel suddenly stops watching certain folders. When I check the logs, it shows that Hazel simply stops monitoring these specific folders, but it seems random which ones.

A reboot of the Mac always temporarily resolves the issue, but recently, after using MacPaw's CleanMyMac X (specifically the uninstall feature), Hazel stopped renaming files in one of the monitored folders right afterward.

I’m wondering:

Could CleanMyMac have affected Hazel’s ability to monitor network shares?
Has anyone else experienced issues with Hazel stopping its monitoring of SMB shares over time?
Are there any suggestions on how to avoid Hazel losing connection to these folders without requiring a reboot?
I appreciate any insights or solutions!

Thanks for your help.

There was another recent post about this but I suggest disabling CleanMyMac and seeing that clears things up.
