Automate PDF File Size

... or command-line trickery so as to make something like this happen. I've searched the AppleScript dictionaries for PDFPenPro, Preview, Skim, and Acrobat to no avail. Any help, ideas, or suggestions would be fantastic! (Sorry in advance if this is the wrong board for this topic!) Cheers, Caleb

OCR with Acrobat Pro DC

Can anyone assist with a way to do this? I have tried with pdfpen but it is unreliable and the pdfpen crashes. Keen to try with Acrobat but not sure how to script. Any ideas?

If the text is not searchable in Preview then Hazel won't be able to see it either. I don't know what kind of magic Acrobat uses but maybe try some other PDF programs to see what they make of it.

I am a new user trying out Hazel. Hazel's content function does not work on my bank statements and Time Warner Cable bill. Similar to above a renderable text error appears. Files are searchable Acrobat but not in Preview. Please advise or point to solution on the board.

Today I installed Acrobat DC to use OCR recognition feature.

I tried to find out the "Text Recognition" in the "Tools" to use AppleScript, however I failed.

I think that's a function of whatever PDF program you are using. I feel like there must be something out there which will let you select a word and have it enter it as a keyword. Maybe Acrobat or PDFPen?
