Hazel 3.0 Installation problems

I messed up something somewhere.
I've tried to completely uninstall but perhaps I haven't got everything(?)
I can't get Hazel 3 to install properly. Immediately after adding the preference pane I get the error in System Preferences "Could not load Hazel Preference Pane."
The same error appears when I try to click to open the Hazel icon in System Preferences.

I also have this problem. I'm running a Mac pro with Mac OSX 10.5 leopard.

My newer iMac with 10.6 snow leopard has upgraded with no problems.

jasonh1234: Could you check the Console? See if there are any messages from System Preferences there.

I have a fix for this but because of some other issues I need to investigate, I won't be releasing just yet. If this is urgent, please email support and I can send you a link to a test build to use.

i'm having the exact same issues after purchasing the upgrade this morning. any fixes, tips, etc. will be greatly appreciated (and make me feel like i didn't squander $10 )

Please email me with the errors from your console. BTW, there's not a single error. There are several things which could be causing this. The only way for me to be sure is if you email support.

after removing the Trial version from Hazel 3.0 (I don't use the uninstall Button) and installing 2.3.10 (only have a license for 2.3.x) i have the same problem, too. I have the problem now with 3.0 and 2.3.10.

You have to use a certain procedure to downgrade. Please email support and I'll send you the specific instructions.

I have Hazel 2.x but downloaded & installed 3.x not realizing it had been updated. It said I was elegible for an upgrade ($10) but I'm not sure I want to so I uninstalled it, found 2.x but now it's locking me out of Hazel. I was thinking it was my old DMG so I found some other versions online of 2.x but the same thing happened. After reading some, it seems as if it might be an issue with me having put in the license key. Can you help me figure where to go from here to get Hazel back up and running? Thanks
