Temporarily disable Hazel from bash

Is there a way to do this? I have two rules that have colliding effects; that is, when one rule is triggered it can cause the other rule to run as well, leading to a rippling effect. If there's a way to temporarily disable Hazel inside one rule then everything would be fine

No good way to do this now. Could you describe in more detail what's going on? Maybe there's a way to structure the rules to prevent this.
