As the topic suggest, i don't know if its possible to import pdfs directly into my devonthink database instead of global inbox. All help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

I don't use DevonTHINK but I think you'll have to use Automator or AppleScript to pull this off. I suggest checking with DevonTHINK's developers to see what kind of support they have for this type of thing.

That is quite easy. At least the Pro version brings some automator actions that you can use.

For example, I have an automator workflow (for bank account related documents) that consists of two actions:

• "Set current Group" (here you can select the database and group)
• "Add items to Current Group" (Add items by: Import)

I saved it as "DevonThing-Import-Bank.workflow" and use it in my hazel rules that match those documents, so they get filed away automatically.
