Newbie Q: create password-protected ZIP and copy?

Talk, speculate, discuss, pontificate. As long as it pertains to Hazel.

I'm trying Hazel for the first time and really liking it. I'd like to create a rule that takes a file from my desktop, turns it into a .zip file protected by a password, leaves the original file on my desktop, then moves the zipped copy of the file to an external drive.

And I'd like this rule to run anytime I change and quit the file.

Do I need to create an Automator workflow to do this, or is there some way I can do this just in Hazel?

Thanks much for any advice - and I apologize if this the answer is obvious to anyone who spent more than an hour with Hazel. (I'm still at the 15 minute mark.)

The built-in archive action does not have an option to provide a password so yes, if you can find an Automator action that does that, that would be the way to go.
