Lost user - remove folder structure

Hello

I've a bunch of images that are organized by year -> month - >filename

like
2012
....01
....02
... etc.

I'd like to take all the image in those various years and month out and have them in a single folder - moreover, the file names are like this: 20110501-052830.jpg - those are the main files and I like to move or copy only those to a new folder - some other images are all named like: 20110501-052830-600x270.jpg . those can all be ignored. so the end result I'd expect would be have all the main images in one single folder - preferable a copy.

Hope somebody can help to get me going - whatever I try just doesn't work the expected way.

Thanks

For getting Hazel to go into subfolders, see the sticky article at the top of the Support forum. For the other part, search the help for "match pattern".

It has been a rather frustrating experience so far - if I e.g. say to select only files that do not contain an "x", it just ignores them.

Use the "matches" operator. Again, see the help. It gives an example to follow through.

uninstalled hazel - wasted my time and money - took me about a minute to do it with plain old Finder.

Doing "name does not contain x" works for me. If you email support with your rules, I can help. I can't help if you ignore my advice or do not give me information about your setup, though.
