Hazel Features
Works automatically, diligently, quietly
Hazel does its work silently in the background, automatically filing, organizing and cleaning. Hazel consists of a System Preferences pane with most of the work done via background programs so it stays out of your way until you need it.
Familiar rule interface
Create rules through an easy to use interface. You can even preview your rule matches.
App Sweep
Hazel watches your Trash. If it sees an application being thrown away, Hazel will search for any of its support files and offer to throw those away for you. App uninstallation made easy.
Menubar icon
Gives you quick access to Hazel's features, including the ability to start and stop at will.
Import and Export
You can export your rules for backup or share your rules with others.
Growl Support
Get notifications on your Desktop about what Hazel is doing.
Integration with Safari, Mail, Firefox, Camino & Flock
You can conveniently add specific download folders for Hazel to monitor via the Quicklist. Hazel knows the ins and outs of dealing with downloads from different programs so it won't interfere with them.
Spotlight
Hazel takes advantage of Spotlight. Hazel can filter on any Spotlight attribute and can set Spotlight-searchable keywords and comments. Spotlight attributes are even available when renaming files or sorting files into subfolders.
iLife
Hazel has actions to import your media files into iTunes or iPhoto.
AppleScript
Hazel rules can run AppleScript. Extend Hazel to integrate with other applications.
Automator
Integrate Hazel with your Automator workflows. Hazel rules can trigger your workflows to work the way you work.

System Requirements
- Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) or above.
- Safari, Camino, Firefox or Flock.
- Spotlight must be enabled.
It's a simple, but delightful and handy little app to have around. You'll wonder how you managed without it.
Hazel is one of those truly clever, useful apps that I think could make the Mac computing world a better place if everyone bought a license (and used it, of course).
