This is something I cobbled together so I could view all the built-in Carbon icons. Like Daniel Jalkut, I had created an NSImage category to access these in Cocoa only to realize (in the comments of the article above) that you could get at most of the same icons via NSWorkspace (again, read the article).

So, this app allows you to cycle through all the icons, showing both the version through my homegrown category and through using NSWorkspace. They are for the most part the same except for the odd exception here and there.

It's not pretty, efficient or a good example. It's just a useful tool to see what icons are there.
